Ordinance No. 290 repealed sections 6.12.010 and 6.12.020 which currently prohibits the keeping of honey bees in the City of Del Rey Oaks and replaced it stating that no person shall keep any honey bees (Apis millefera) except as specifically authorized in this Section.  Permit Required.  No person shall keep any honey bees without having first obtained a use permit from the City.  Permits required by this Section shall be issued by the City Manager, or their designee, and shall be subject to a fee established by the resolution of the City Council.  The permit of any person who fails to comply with the provisions of this Section may be suspended or revoked by the City Manager, or their designee. All neighbors within 200 feet of a proposed location where honey bees are to be kept shall be notified at least twenty (20) days before a permit is issued.
