Services

Field Services - Animal Control Officers provide field services that include: animal bite investigation/quarantine, animal related nuisance complaints, injured/aggressive animal pick up, stray/loose dog pick up and other related state and local animal law enforcement.

Animal Sheltering - Animals that need sheltering are brought to Animal Services at 160 Hitchcock Road in Salinas.  They are scanned for a microchip, vaccinated, photographed and held for a minimum of 3 business days in hopes their owner comes for them

Licensing - Mandatory for dogs and voluntary for cats over 4 months of age. For more information on Licensing costs & requirements, visit this page.
