City Manager – Daniel Dawson

The City of Del Rey Oaks operates under the Council-Manager Form of Government.  The City Manager is directly responsible to the City Council for the proper and efficient administration of all municipal affairs coming under his jurisdiction. The City Manager provides for the effective implementation of the City Council’s policies and priorities, advises Council on reliable and responsible methods of responding to community needs, encouraging and implementing programs to bolster the local economy and protect local government revenues, and provides overall organizational leadership to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services, projects and programs for local residents.

The City Manager/Administrative Department provides a broad range of administrative, managerial, and financial services. The professional staff provides support, guidance, communications and leadership that ensure quality municipal services are provided to the residents of Del Rey Oaks. Staff is committed to Excellent Customer Service and perform such diverse functions as; RV Parking Rentals, City Park Programs, Business Licensing, Council and Commission agendas and minutes, elections, redevelopment duties, general information to visitors and residents and responding to requests from other agencies.
